About Image Converter

Different formats suit different jobs: JPG for photos with small file sizes, PNG for graphics and screenshots that need sharp edges or transparency, and WEBP for efficient images on the web. You can convert to any of the three; inputs may also be GIF, BMP, or AVIF where your browser can decode them. Transparency is kept for PNG and WEBP and filled with white when converting to JPG, which has no transparency. All conversion happens in your browser, so your images are not uploaded.

What happens to transparent areas when I convert to JPG?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white.

Which quality setting should I use?

Around 80–90 keeps photos looking good with much smaller files. Higher values give larger files with little visible difference.

Can I convert HEIC photos here?
