About PDF to Word
PDF to Word runs on our server. The converter reads the text layer of the PDF and rebuilds it as real Word paragraphs with font sizes, bold and italic, recreates ruled tables as Word tables, and places embedded images. Right-to-left Arabic text is restored to the correct reading order. PDFs are designed for fixed layouts, so complex designs such as multi-column pages, text boxes or exact positioning may flow differently in Word. Scanned PDFs contain no text; run OCR PDF first. Your file is deleted after download, or automatically within about 15 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
Not always. Text, tables and images are kept and editable, but exact positions, columns and special fonts can change because Word documents flow text instead of fixing it in place.
Does it work with scanned documents?
Scanned pages are images without text. Run OCR PDF first to add a text layer, then convert.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know the password. It is used only for this job and removed from our job records when processing starts.
