About QR Code Generator
QR codes are generated in your browser, so details such as Wi-Fi passwords or contact information are never sent anywhere, and this page loads no ads or third-party scripts. Wi-Fi codes use the standard format understood by iPhone and Android cameras, and contact codes use vCard 3.0. After each change, the code is decoded again in your browser and marked Verified when it reads back exactly as entered. Dark modules on a light background with strong contrast scan most reliably, and the tool warns you about colour choices that may not scan. Higher error correction makes the code more robust, for example when printed small or partly covered, but also denser. Download PNG for everyday use or SVG for print.
Frequently asked questions
Do the QR codes expire?
No. The information is stored in the code itself, so it works as long as the content (such as the link) is valid.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent to your server?
No. The code is created entirely in your browser.
Which error correction level should I use?
Medium suits most uses. Use a higher level if the code will be printed small, on curved surfaces or with a logo over it.
