About Sign PDF

Sign PDF adds a visual signature: a drawing made with your mouse, finger or stylus, your name in a handwriting-style font, or a photo or scan of your signature (white backgrounds can be made transparent). You can add the date, place signatures on several pages and resize them. This is an image of a signature, not a certificate-based digital signature: it does not cryptographically prove who signed or detect later changes. Whether a visual signature is acceptable depends on the recipient and the applicable law. The PDF and your signature never leave your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

It is a visual electronic signature, not a certificate-based digital signature. Many everyday documents accept it, but some legal or official processes require a qualified signature. Check with the recipient.

Is my signature stored anywhere?

No. It is created and applied in your browser and is gone when you close the page.

Can I sign several pages?

Yes. Go to another page and place the signature again.
