About Edit PDF
Edit PDF adds new content on top of the existing pages: text in any language including Arabic, images, rectangles, ellipses, lines, highlighter marks, white cover boxes and real PDF comments that other viewers show as notes. Added items can be moved, resized or removed until you save. This tool does not rewrite the PDF's existing text. A white box hides content only visually: the original text stays in the file and can still be copied, so it is not suitable for redacting confidential information. Added text is placed as a high-resolution image so that every script displays correctly; it is not selectable text.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the existing text in my PDF?
No. This tool adds new content on top of the page. You can cover wording with a white box and type new text, but the original text stays in the file underneath.
Is it safe for redacting sensitive information?
No. White boxes only hide content visually. True redaction must remove the underlying text, which this tool does not do.
Does it support Arabic?
Yes. Added text is shaped and laid out by your browser, so Arabic and other right-to-left scripts display correctly.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened, edited and saved entirely in your browser.
